My pops has this old Wind Power 2500 watt 32 volt generator sitting in his shed.

He called me yesterday and say that I can take it if I want
He knows that I'm thinking about building a wind turbine
It's a wind power light co. model 35 and in a good condition, but can I use it for a small wind turbine?

that's really cool, but fyi. The biggest hurdle will be matching the generator's RPM. Old wind generators like that often needed to spin pretty fast to hit their rated voltage and wattage. You'll need to design your blades and possibly a gearbox to get the generator spinning at its optimal RPM for generating power from the wind
