20kw wind generator parts

I'm finally getting around building my 20kw wind generator project. I got a good chunk of the core system sorted out already but I'm missing two components. First, I'm looking for an exciter winding. It's the one that's roughly the size of a dinner plate and about 2inches thick. The other one is a reliable charge controller that can handle the 20kw output. I need something robust and ideally with good MPPT capabilities. I've been on a hunt for these two parts for over a week now. If anyone has leads or any ideas what I can do, I'd appreciate your help!

Check out industrial surplus shops for the exciter winding, or ask motor rewinding places. For a 20kW MPPT charge controller, you should look into Victron, MidNite Solar, or OutBack... Just make sure its rated for your system my guy.

Or you can also check with motor rewind shops, they might have something close to what you need. For the charge controller, look into Victron its the only one im familiar with and yeah I can vouch that. Just make sure it's rated for 20kw and your system voltage. You might need to run a couple in parallel. Happy hunting!!

Expecting an off-the-shelf charge controller to handle a true 20kW wind setup is unrealistic. You're better off sourcing industrial rectifiers and building a custom MPPT solution for reliability

Whoa, a 20kW wind generator project,huh? That's seriously ambitious! No wonder you're having trouble finding those specific parts, that's a beast of a system you're building
anyway, have you try looking up the original manufacturer of the generator design you're basing this on? Sometimes you can source specific component parts from them or their distributors, even if they're older models

Have you sourced what you've been looking for?
I have to agree with the others that that's an ambitious setup and finding off-the-shelf parts can be tough!
For the exciter winding, a local electric motor rewind shop might be able to help, or you could check with manufacturers who build large custom alternators.
Then for your charge controller, look into industrial-grade manufacturers like Morningstar, Outback Power, or Midnight Solar, and check their larger commercial lines.
You might also have luck with companies that specialize in large-scale off-grid or microgrid solutions.
They'll have the robust, high-power equipment you need!
