aermotor windmill company vs wind engine 702s

I'm in South Carolina and noticing Wind Engine 702s increasingly replacing older Aermotor windmills on ranches.

My dad recently had one installed and it seems to work fine.

However, I'm more familiar with the longevity and maintenance of aermotor windmill company and Fiasas bcs my dad owns a few of them, so I'm struggling to find reliable information about the Wind Engine 702's lifespan and common issues.

Online opinions are wildly different.

Any windmill technicians here who have experience with Wind Engine 702s?

can you guys give me insights, specifically regarding their life expectancy, common failure points, wear patterns, and recommended spare parts for a 385ft lift application?

I really want to know if these new windmills are as durable as the traditional brands.

I've used both Aermotor and Wind Engine 702 windmills on wells and for decor,they're solid models when you get them installed correctly and keep up with annual servicing. I did run into some warranty issues, but both companies sent out replacemnt parts quickly and without any hassle. The key is to make sure the setup is right for the job and to stay on top of maintenance. I'm not sure if today's parts match the original specs, so it might be a good idea to check on that.

Glad to hear they still support their parts without causing trouble, that's pretty uncommon nowadays. Did you notice much difference in how the Aermotor and Wind Engine 702 perform in strong winds, or do they handle about the same once you get them set up?

Ok @JamesTheory my fellow James, actually, like them I've worked with both. Based on experience, the 702s hold up alright if you're not pushing them too hard. For deeper lifts like 385 feet though, I'd still trust an older Aermotor over anything newer.
